About Judith Carlough

A multi-faceted writer, Judith Carlough is awaiting publication of her first two novels in 2026: a contemporary mystery set in Savannah featuring a chef-turned-private eye with a secret to hide, and an historical Civil War adventure featuring two plucky young women who run away from Lowell, MA to the front to enlist in the Union Army.

Judith Carlough is also an award-winning short story author having won a prestigious New York Times short fiction competition and the 2024 Writer’s Digest prize for humor in short stories. She has published five stories.
